Hypercity unveils pop-up store in Bangalore

Shoppers Stop’s hypermarket arm Hypercity has opened a pop-up store in Whitefield, Bangalore. A first of its kind in India, the 1,000 sq. ft. store aims to provide shoppers a sense of the variety, depth and exciting offers that they can expect from Hypercity. The official 30,000 sq. ft, store which will be Hypercity’s third in Bangalore is slated to open in Inorbit mall shortly. A popular concept internationally, pop up stores have found relevance with brands in India fairly recently.
Apart from offering a unique environment to shop in, the pop-up store will provide customers big savings with hypersale and offers for members of the loyalty programme, discovery club. The format that has taken longer than expected to break-even is trying several methods to bounce back in the country. It recently bagged the prestigious awards including the Golden Spoon Award for its private label development and the ‘Most Admired Hypermarket of the year’ at the India Retail Forum 2012.
